John McIntosh and Joanne Fraser Midlothian to America?

Looking for help in finding more information on John McIntosh  and his wife Joanne Fraser.
John born  December 1868 son of Gideon McIntosh and Rachel Gray .

He and Joanne  were married in 1894 in Dalkeith she was the daughter on Kenneth Fraser and Catherine McLeod born c 1870.

On 1901 census they are living in Edinburgh his occupation is given as an iron moulder.
They are not in the 1911 census and no deaths can be found for them in Scotland .
Sometime between 1901 and 1911 they emigrated to America .

Did they remain there ?
When did they die ?

Could be a possibility  -- the dates and information I have given are correct as I have his

birth and marriage certificates and them  on 1901 census then they disappear .

The information I have is from an old aunt's notes who started this research many years ago

I have never been able to find any children for them on the few occasions I have been to

the GRO in Edinburgh.

There is a New York Passenger - John McIntosh born 1870 Scotland aged 39 years - Last permanent address was Dalkeith. Iron Moulder. Father G McIntosh Hagan Cottage.  Glasgow to New York on the    Caledonia arriving 25 April 1909.  Also travelling Joan aged 37 years - going to Newark NJ to brother -in-law and brother Geo Leith Forest Hill Newark.
