Obituary for Joseph Farnham in the Toronto Star on May 12 1973.

It says that Joseph Farnham died in Toronto on May 11 1973.  Husband of the late Isabel Farnham.  Father of Mrs W Adams (Irene) and Donald.  Grandfather of D and K.  Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Obituary for Isabella Farnham in the Toronto Star, June 13 1961 page 30

It says that Isabella died at Branson Hospital, Toronto, on June 12 1961.  Isabella Smith, wife of James Farnham, 855 Sheppard Ave West.  Mother of Mrs William Adams (Irene) and Donald Farnham.  Sister of Mrs B Wills (Bessie).  Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Found a birth notice in the late 1940s for a child of Mr and Mrs William Adams (nee Irene Farnham)..so I would assume William and Irene were born in the 1920s.

Thank you so much for that additional information.  Apologies for the late response but I did not get an email notification of your posts for some reason.

I knew that Isabella's sister Bessie had married a Mr Wills so there is no doubt now that this is the right family.

With the help of all the wonderful information you all provided I have now come up with a new lead for Isabella's twin sister Bessie.  It suggests she died on 28 Sep 1973 in Toronto, again I would be very grateful for any additional information.

If it is the right Bessie, at the time of her death she would have been Bessie Watson Wills (nee: Smith) and 75 years old.  Her husband who pre-deceased her in 1930 was Alfred Ernest Wills.

Checked obits in Toronto papers from 26 Sept to Oct 4 1973...didn't see her.

It looks like Isabella and Bessie's father served in the Canadian Army in WW1. See link below for his military file. There are 77 pages in total and it will probably be very slow to load.

Of note on about page 10 is notification of his death 13 Nov 1949 in Toronto Ontario. A widower age 77. NOK is his daughter Mrs Isabella Farnham of Toronto. Perhaps an obit might help with Bessie?

I found a tree on MyHeritage which I think is for Bessie's family and I have messaged the owner so hopefully they will get back to me so we can share information.
