Obituary
After an illness extending over a long period Mr Robert Wright died at his residence, Selth-street, Albert Park, on Thursday. He was one of the best known figures connected with the gulf shipping trade. He had been chief engineer on the steamer Quorna for twelve years. He was born at the South Shields, England, in 1870, and after following his profession in various parts of the world, was appointed engineer of the steamer Warraner(?), and came to Australia in the vessel nearly thirteen years ago. Upon arrival the Adelaide Steamship Company took the vessel over, and named her the Quorna, and Mr Wright decided to continue his association with the vessel. He was one of the most valued servants of the company. Mr Wright was a married man and leaves a grown-up family.

to reply no 1, Sarah is Sarah Wright, nee Rowan, wife of Robert Gowland Wright and they were the parents of the Peter Wright born in 1893, and went to Australia in Oct 1927.

that threw me for a little till the other replies came in and studying them all today, I think I can unravel most of the details and build a lot onto my late wife's family tree.

Most grateful to all who have contributed.
