Pre-1841 census help (Edward Jones)
« on: Monday 25 May 20 06:02 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I’m looking for information on an Edward Jones (b about 1772 in Breconshire) and his wife, Sarah (b about 1778 in Gloucestershire) who were living in St David at the 1841 census. I believe they were the grandparents of my 3rd great grandfather, Henry Jones (b 1822-1826 Breconshire). Henry had a sister, Margaret (b about 1838) but I’m not sure of their parents names. With such common names and because I’m missing a generation, as well as it being prior to the census, does anyone have any suggestions as where to look?

Many thanks!

Oh my goodness - thank you so much for the information!

Do you mind me asking where you are you accessing your census data?  It’s much more robust than what I’ve seen on familysearch.org

Many thanks again
