Well hello Donna

Are you well?

I don't mind going back to the records office, and having a look at the inscriptions, as I have a little time to kill at the moment.

The records office is only 100 yards away,  however do you have any birthdates 'cos I have a list of baptisms at St Nicholas from 1694 to 1837 and burials same dates

No problem if you don't

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the offer. I have very little information and was wondering if you could help.

I am looking for a John Mitchell born- supposedly 8/1/1805 in Whitehaven father Thomas.

Is it too much trouble to look for a baptism for him to get his mothers name, And maybe siblings or his parents marriage?

I appreciate any help,
Holly

Well hello Donna
Are you well?

I'm just dandy, Andrew (thank you for asking)... and you?

My research papers seem to have gone a-muck... but, I do not want to miss your kind offer! Please forgive my typing in haste.

I can only remember that my great uncle Anthony PATTINSON married a Helen nee ASHLEY...  about 1897, Whitehaven... and they had two children (that I could find so far): Arthur (b. 1900) and Elizabeth Russell PATTINSON (b. 190?).

I'm beginning to realize that England is not like Canada... one cannot simply go to a small town (not meaning Whitehaven!) to expect everyone to know their name! :)

Kindest regards,
Donna

Was Mary a widow?

Thanks a lot.

Jakky

No problem, you are aware the place Lamplugh is up here and I believe the family was quite big up here

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for offering lookups! I would really appreciate some help with the following:

Marriage of:

Burdett Charles Blowe (a.k.a. Charles Burdett) b. Alston Moor c. 1809
and
Jane (Fisher?) b. Whitehaven c 1809

I *think* that Jane's maiden name will be Fisher but I'm not 100%.  If it is, I would also really appreciate a lookup of her birth, c. 1809 in Whitehaven.

I'm sorry I can't be a bit more specific, but this is all the info I have.

(However, it may be worth noting that I think one of their children is called 'James *Ellershaw* Blowe'. Maybe useful for earlier maiden names?)

Any info at all would be really great.

Many thanks in advance,
Sam
