Yes, those are the buildings that seemed to appear in the 1920s.

I am wondering if the house might be a bit further along as you suggest in reply #17 Gadget.  :-\

I think the only way that Jay might learn about the house is to ask a local group. I've found another one:

I remember all of the railway lines and the bridge but I can't remember going to Whittington on that road.  We used to go via the road from Gobowen.

I live along that stretch of road in Oswestry, coming off Oswestry to Gobowen road under the railway bridge - adjacent almost to turning for Unicorn Road there is a narrow access road to houses sited back there. Railway Terrace runs alongside at right angle. The Family History Group at Oswestry Library may be able to help. Sadly the rough ground there on either side of the railway track is not very accessible.
