https://www.deathindexes.com/colorado/index.html.
a lot of the cemeteries on his indexes might be covered at findagrave.com

ancestry.com seems to have Presbyterian burial records from that era.

A few of the people who post here subscribe to newspapers.com. They would know better than I what is available there.

I don't see the death records for the state itself at familysearch.org:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/location/30?region=Colorado

If you post the name and location, someone might be able to find something for you. Include the approx date of birth and parents' names if you know that. Siblings might help also.

Cheers oldohiohome, i’ll check those in the morning. Looking for Henry Martin, born Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1873, married in 1905 and is understood to have gone to Colorado - maybe 1907 - to set up home for his family. Believed to have died around 1915 and there is a tree on ancestry with a date of 9 Aug 1915 but no source.

Son of William Martin and Martha Phillips. Wife was Rose Griffiths but not known if she moved to Colorado.

That’s fantastic, thanks RJ137.

His father had died but he had more than 2 brothers, and also a son living with his (Henry / Harry’s) mother. Age is right though and fits with what had been passed down through the family.

The obituary information might have come from co-workers or people living at the same address. So all they knew about him was what he told them and what they remembered. If he was in the US by himself, there was no next of kin to know the whole story.

Of course, would just like to find something which ties him to the Henry i was looking for before telling the friend i’m helping. Will see if i can find immigration records or census for Harry not Henry).
