John Wilson had a younger brother William baptised in 1835 and the only William I could find who was the son of Joseph, a joiner was in Liverpool, a ship's officer which was doubtful.
I have found a burial at New Orleans on the same day as John of a William aged 23, so it looks like both brothers went to USA together and died together. It says he was born Ireland but that could be due to John marrying an Irish Catholic.
