Winifred Caley, 1910
« on: Sunday 31 May 20 14:06 BST (UK) »
I'd like to find the parents of Winifred Caley, born 1910 in Hull.  Frustratingly 2 years too early for mother's maiden name on birth record  :(
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

If you use the GRO index that gives mothers maiden name
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

You may need to register if you have not already done so

I'm very familiar with the GRO site.  But I didn't want to apply for a birth certificate in order to learn the mother's maiden name.  And I hadn't found the parents on FamilySearch - I don't know why, it didn't come up for me.
