Thank you, I had some of the information and believe that they are the same person, although a different year is indicated.
His RAF Service Record lists birthdate as 9 Dec 1888, Penang, Straits Settlements. The 1939 Register lists 9 Dec 1884, Calcutta, India. (Not uncommon for records to list India, however, usually Prince of Wales Island, Bengal, India or Bengal, India).
D W Mc Intyre, and my ggm were witnesses at their sister's 1918 marriage, which brought him to my attention. He was previously unidentified. His sister, Winifred Sarah McIntyre's 1914 marriage was in the Bristol, England, Non-Conformist Baptism, Marriage and Burial Registers, 1644-1981 and lists her father's name. Unfortunately, I cannot find an image for Douglas.
I cannot find he or his wife, Ellen/Nellie/Helen (TBC) on any ship's lists which have been a huge help for other family. Douglas and his family were all likely born in Penang but settled in Malaysia, UK, and Australia. There were eight children.
I will order his will which shows his death at Westbury-on-Trym, a suburb of Bristol. I haven't been able to determine when his wife died.
Address listed for Douglas in 1925 may be the same address as my gf's 1924 emigration to Canada:
