The will on proni dated the same as the WJ MCcomb informant by Sarah Catherine McComb, lists all the children I know to be in the family and talks about Catherine's religion, which again I know to be factual from older family members.

What I know to date:
WJ McComb married Eliza ? (Her death in 1881)
WJ MCComb married Agnes Bains (Bean) in 1882 and she died 1886.
WJ McComb married Catherine McArdle (Mccarroll) in 1897 - they had 6 children,  one of which is my great grandfather.

Both WJ and Catherine (Kate) is in the 1901 and 1911 census.

I know WJ was around 23 years old in 1882 when he married Agnes.

William was definitely a farmer. My dad's family has always been around this area and been farmers.

If William was 23 in 1882 then likely not married to Eliza long before she died in 1881. Did they have any children?

Ballylane Reformed Presbyterian Church has a cemetery attached.  Have you been in touch with the church to see if there is a burial record for Eliza?  Or perhaps the church marriage record?

No children. According to family they knew she committed suicide.  When I looked at her death certificate it state she was 40 or 42, which would have made WJ about 22 when she died.

Again puzzling with the age difference and this being his first marriage.

Yes the family burial ground is in Ballylane. My gr grandfather is buried in it. My dad had said there used to be a full headstone with names on it but it has since been replaced with a simple McCombe name on it.

I have asked the church, if I able to find out who is buried in the plot, as it is a double plot.

This is the marriage of a Sarah McCombe to Joseph Maxwell in 1858; names her father as David of Lisdrumchor; she is already a widow, of full age

I know WJ had a sister Margaret who married a John Colvin Iin Rostrevor in 1896.

Other than that, i dont know whether he had other siblings as their births would all pre date 1864, Unfortunately.
