Death date
« on: Thursday 04 June 20 00:13 BST (UK) »
Hi there, I have only posted here once before and got some amazing help, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I am after some help or advice on finding a death date for my X3 Great Grandad. I'm not a beginner with family research, I started in 2012 but I've hit a brick wall with this one. His name is John Richard Partis, born 1813 in Morpeth, Northumberland. He married Mary Ann Clark in Newington, London 1839. They had two sons William Thomas Partis born in Middlesex 1852 and George Partis born in Middlesex 1859. They appeared on the 1871 census living at 6 Cumberland St west in St Pancras, London. Mary then died in 1873. She isn't buried with him John as I checked on deceased online. I can't find a death record for him at all, I can't find any info on him after the 1871 census. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Jade ???  ::)

You give Mary Ann's maiden surname as Clark but the two birth registrations for William Thomas and George Frederick give her maiden name as Alderton and the marriage to John in 1841 not 1839
Also there are numerous hints on ancestry giving John's middle name as Waldron and they do seem to be the correct people.
ancestry has the record image for the marriage and gives John's occupation as painter, father's name Richard.
Mary's (no middle name Ann) father Charles Alderton, farmer.

Death
September 1/4 Pancras London
John Waldron  Partis age 58 vol 1b page 5

Hi Lady Di, thanks for your reply. I am quite sure of the info on John Partis being correct as in born in 1813 in Morpeth, I am now thinking maybe his wife and kids aren't correct. The replies on here are making me re-think it entirely! I've been scratching my head over this one for ages! Thanks for your reply :)

Hi Carol, thanks for your reply. I am going to look into his marriage and kids again as all your replies have made me re look at this, I am positive on the info I have for John but the wife and kids have thrown me now. I have got people on the tree who've been previously married to someone else which initially through me off, then after ordering certificates I got to the bottom of it so maybe you're right. I am going to spend some time looking at it again, I will let you know, Thanks, I really appreciate the help, sometimes so fresh eyes at it help so much! :)
