PARENTS OF James McCarthy b. 1840

hi,

I have the parents of James McCarthy B. 1840 Killea, Waterford, listed as Denis McCarthy and Ellen Hearn. These match the names on his marriage registration too. I can't find any evidence of them being married but unsure if I'm looking in the right places?

Have you looked for older siblings for James to narrow down the date of the marriage.
Marriages usually happen in the bride's parish, if Ellen wasn't from Killea than it would be worth looking in surrounding parishes via the map.

I cant find any siblings for James. I'll have another look at the marriages, Thanks.
