Helen Clark Reid
« on: Sunday 07 June 20 09:47 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information on this lady who was the wife of Robert Cruickshank Johnston my uncle.
He was born 3 Dec 1919 and died 14 Mar 2009 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
I have looked at S.P but with no joy. If possible I would like to know marriage & death date.
As always any assistance greatly appreciated! David

The marriage is in the SP index under 'Robert Cruicksh Johnston', registered 1948 in Aberdeen Southern District (Ref 168/21001), it looks like the bride was previously married as it's a different surname, but definitely her as the forenames 'fit' what you've posted, too recent to view online though.

Thank you ColC! very interesting. I have been in contact with a living relative who confirmed that there was only ONE marriage. So I wonder why are two different MMN's mentioned? Difficult without images or certs. Thanks again David

I'm assuming that Murray is simply Mair (misreported at death), but I don't understand the mismatch between Helen Clark Reid and Helen Reid Mair - is the name in your title incorrect?

To be honest only knew her as Helen Johnston. Its only putting her on my tree in FindMyPast that it put up the name Helen Clark Reid.

I see, so a possibility that it's simply Helen Reid Mair who married Robert Cruicksh Johnston in 1948 and had her maiden name Mair reported by the informant of death as Murray.
