Bedminster Union Workhouse look up request 1851 census
« on: Sunday 07 June 20 15:49 BST (UK) »
My request is for any info regarding inmates with the surname CADDICK who were in the Bedminster Union Workhouse c 1851 particularly Matilda CADDICK born 4th quarter of 1850 in Clifton

So far I am aware of Mary A (Mary Ann) CADDICK age 41 (Matilda's mother) and Mary Ann CADDICK age 8 (Matilda's sister)  I believe that Mary A CADDICK, an unmarried mother, (claiming to be a widow on her marriage certificate) married William BABB a widower, on 12 May 1856 at St Jude, Bristol.

Thanks
HelenX

You really need one of the childrens birth certificates to confirm their fathers name.

It would not be unusual for an online tree to be wrong

possible previous marriage St Mary le Port 4 May 1829 for William Prigg & Mary Ann Snow.
The clergyman did not note marital status on either marriage.
