Children of John Loran and Mary Murray

Looking at these records and wonder if this could be a typo ie where it shows the father of Patrick Loran as Thomas Loran when the birth cert shows it was John Loran?

Definitely a mistake!

John Loran is his father. Born 3rd February 1879 in Mullingar.

Even more odd.
One of their children is John (Joseph) Loran born in Mullingar, 27 July 1877 to John Loran and Mary Murray.
I have a death of a John Loran age 13, 28 Nov 1889, cause meningitis showing as "child of a housekeeper" and  what looks like Sally 'Comer'? present at this death, not his parents. Could this be the same child?
I notice that there was a Sally Murray present at the brother of John Loran i.e. Patrick's birth 3rd Feb 1879 so maybe this was their aunt who married between 1879 and 1889?
Or am I over thinking this?

And another query, their child Mary Loran born in 883, when I look at the record on the Irish genealogy website there is no listing for her. Any ideas why or how I can find the correct record?

ah I see, even though the birth after hers is fourth of Sept?
