Gt grandfather in Kendal ???

My gt-graddad Patrick Ryan b.1847 (a tailor) married Mary Davis b.1869 (her father John was also a tailor) in Bradford in W.Yorkshire 26/12/1891. I have never been able to trace him before or after the wedding certificate but Mary is well documented as being born and living in Kendal up to the marriage. My granddad William was born 1/4/1893 in Bradford and abandoned not long after and Mary looked like she went back to Kendal (as a "spinster"). I suspect maybe Patrick and John Davis knew each other and Patrick and Mary eloped. In which case was Patrick living in Kendal prior to his marriage ? and also I have recently discovered I have a DNA match in America, did Patrick emigrate 1893-1895 ?

Who was Patrick's father, and have you got his age from the marriage certificate?  Who were the witnesses?  Had he been married before?

(Could he have lied about his age, as a lot older than the bride?)

There is this death, but corresponding to a birth year around 1836

Deaths June quarter 1896 Patrick Ryan age 60 in Bradford.

There are a few Patrick Ryans in Bradford in 1891, but this one is a tailor, with daughters

Patrick  Ryan  -  widowed 49  Tailor  Ireland  (so birth 1841/1842)
Maggie  Ryan      15  Spinner  Manchester, Lancashire, England
Alice  Ryan  daughter   14  Spinner   Manchester, Lancashire, England

Margaret and Alice are 11 and 9 in 1881, but Patrick is 55 (i.e. born 1825) !

There is a Patrick Ryan who was a Tailor in Lancaster Lunatic Asylum in 1891.

The census shows Belfast as his place of birth.

On 1861, nor marked as separate household from Patrick, but described as head is William Ryan age 50 from Ireland a tailor, his wife Margaret age 56 and daughter Charlotte age 12 (from Ireland).
