Hi everyone

Well what can I say!
Further research has revealed the pic where taken in Sussex, Worthing area in the late 1890's.

A rellie found another pic that matches the face of the person in the first pic and he was in the Salvation Army. The only action he saw was fighting the 'Skeleton army'.

I think it's safe to assume they where in fact dressed up and I'll make a guess it was for some kind of fund raising for the troups or families of those that where killed in the Boar war.
