*COMPLETED* Cranfield Burial look-up please

Hoping to find the burial of Hannah or Joanna Longhurst wife of James in  Cranfield between 1837 (birth of daughter) and 1841 when her husband remarries.

She doesn't appear on the GRO death index so she may have died prior to civil registration starting on 1st July 1837.

A bit too early, perhaps:

22 May 1834 - St Peter & St Paul, Cranfield - Anna Longhurst aged 40.

Who was the daughter born/baptised around 1837 ?  On 1841 census the youngest child is Elizabeth age 8 who was baptised at Cranfield in 1833, so this Anna found by BumbleB buried in 1834 is a good fit.

Sorry, my typo it should have been 1833, 1837 on the brain with the start of GRO and posted too early this morning.

Elizabeth is 8 on the 1841 baptised 5 May 1833 (familysearch) so yes, Bumble's find is a good fit.

So I'm out of my comfort zone looking for events in Bedfordshire.

Could I ask for your opinions as to whether you think this is feasible.

James Longhurst baptised March 1792 Chicheley (just over the Buckinghamshire county border?) marries Hannah Foster October 1816 in Gayhurst (FindMyPast). No obvious baptism in Chicheley or Gayhurst.

Children baptised Cranfield 1818-1833, mother is named as either Hannah or Joanna

Supposing the burial found in 1834 is correct and thinking that this is the only Longhurst family in Cranfield just after 1818, could Ann Foster baptised July 1798 in Cranfield daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth Foster be the correct wife bearing in mind Rebecca Foster is a witness to the marriage and there's a probable baptism for her also in Cranfield with the same parents

It sounds feasible to me, but I DO like to see original parish register entries, rather than rely on transcriptions

Sometimes the transcripts are all we have to hand at the moment, if you want to see original registers you will have to wait until Beds Archives opens for business again. Here's the Cranfield transcript up to 1812 as done by County Record Office.

There are Longhurst names in it up to 1812. However Ann Foster baptised 1 July 1798, daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth, wheelwright and they also baptised Rebecca on 3 Feb 1793.

Thanks for the really useful link, it adds the necessary 'occupation' detail required to make better decisions that the transcriptions at familysearch lack.
