Thanks trish1120, I've tried to attach a snippet here but if it doesn't work will try in another post.  Edit: can't attach the file, so not sure why, as I've attached files before.  I can see what you mean about Son where I've read Tom and agree with you.  I hadn't  noticed how T of Thomas (father) had been written, which is very different.

I saw Catharine Cory and noticed the Thomas Corey Hedge birth too, so am in the middle of trying to see if there is any connection.  Catharine married in Q4 1843 in Northampton, according to freeBMD, and I found a parish register entry Dec 18 in Kislingbury to Joseph Forster of Cold Higham. Catharine's father is Richard Cory, a tailor.
