Gallants
« on: Wednesday 10 June 20 20:01 BST (UK) »
I hope someone can help here. I'm looking for a possible christening for a Susanna [or Susan] Gallant possibly in the Eastling or Chilham area of Kent sometime between 1710 and 1750.

All I know about her is that she married John Beaney at Eastling in November 1765.

John and Susanna had a son named John christened in Eastling in December 1766.

Based on John's year of birth I would guess that Susanna was probably born no earlier than the 1720s and no later than the 1740s however that is only a guess.

Is anyone here able to provide any clues to where Susanna was from or tell me if there are any other Gallants in area which may help identify her family?

Many thanks for any ideas and suggestions

Matt

It says on the banns for her marriage that she was of this parish, which was Eastling in Kent.
Regards.

Thanks for that info. I had suspected she might be from Eastling or that area but so far I've not been able to find any trace of a christening in that area.
