« on: Friday 12 June 20 06:03 BST (UK) »
I have Downloaded a copy of John Rowe of Margate 1805 Will .
The Copy from the Prerogative Court of Canterbury is very difficult to read.
Please could I ask for help in finding a copy of the original Will or if anyone knows of a transcription of my copy?

There is a special board here on Rootschat for this here:
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/handwriting-deciphering-recognition/

Why not post, say, the top third of it. Go to 'Attachments and other options' on the page.
There will be people on here who will be able to transcribe it for you.
Each attachment should be as near to 500kb as possible - this is the maximum size allowed for a single image post, and that makes it of good enough quality for 'zooming' in to see any tricky parts.

It's also free at the moment from National Archives whilst under Covid restrictions  ;D

My paraphrasing pretty much the same as yours amondg:

John Rowe of Margate

He is a plumber painter and Glazier

wife Susannah Rowe gets ‘messuages, lands and Real Estate’ for the term of her natural life

After her decease or remarriage, which ever is first, they go to his children William Rowe, Susanna Eason, John Rowe, Ann Rowe, Thomas Smith Rowe, Margaret Rowe and George Rowe equally to be divided as tenants in common

household stuff to wife Susannah Rowe

wife Susannah Rowe and her brother Thomas Smith, mast maker of St John’s Wapping, London  to be joint executors

Proved at London 21st January 1805

If you want the whole thing transcribed Norman, it would still be a good idea to have a go at posting a few images on the handwriting board for practice. It's not a very long will.

Amondg & Goldie 61
Thank you for showing me the way.
I have often glibly thought "Why didn't the scribes think of us trying to reading their documents 200 years later?"
Thank You
