webster family in 1911 help
« on: Friday 12 June 20 19:02 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a Webster family in 1911 but i cant find them. In the 1901 census George Webster (Head) was aged 24, coalman, living in Newhall Derbyshire with his family, Ada Webster (wife) aged 21, daughter Ruby Webster aged 4, Mabel Webster aged 2 and George Webster aged 6 months. They have totally disappeared in 1911, I think I have found Mabel who was in an institution aged 11 in Burton upon Trent but I have no idea what has happened to her parents and siblings. Please can another pair of eyes help me. Thanks in advance.

Sorry - Rootschat does not allow 1911 lookups

Have you checked to see if either parent has died?

You haven't included their respective birthplaces - 1901 shows parents were b Notts but children b Derbyshire

I notice the 1901 shows them living in Staffs - not Derbyshire

CaroleW thanks for that, yes it looks like Ruby was definetly a Buckland at birth, however I have just found her baptism record from 1899 and she was baptised Ruby Catherine Webster xx

Ruby married Walter Powell In 1924 as Ruby K Webster.  She died as Ruby C Powell in 1954.  Both events in Notts

Walter died 1938 aged 48.  Can't see any children born to the marriage

You can find her on the 1939 register in Notts as Ruby K

You were right about the 1911 entry for Mabel.  She was in the Workhouse
