knitting pattern chart - computer related
« on: Friday 12 June 20 21:24 BST (UK) »
I know this isnít the usual sort of technical help problem we get on here!

I have a excel chart of a knitting pattern.  I would like to print it, but it would be 27 pages, and the charts for various components (front, back, sleeves) would not all be on an individual sheet - I would have to stick sheets together with tape.

I use OpenOffice rather than MS Excel, so that may be having an effect.

How can I change the format so that there arenít so many sheets, so less sticking together?

How about playing about with the size of your charts.

Take a screen shot(s) of each portion

Then with your Word document, or something similar,  insert legible charts onto as few pages as can be seen clearly.

Print off.

Now await a technical person to come along and give a proficient description  ;D

See the part called Selecting the page order details and scale.
by changing the scale you can reduce the number of pages.
