Sarah Timmin
« on: Friday 12 June 20 23:25 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find the parents of Sarah Timmin/Timmins who was born in Leitrim around 1872, and married Patrick Murray around 1894.

I have parents and siblings listed for her using census but am now questioning it and could do with some fresh eyes.

Is this Sarah in 1911 born Leitrim
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Leitrim/Carrigallen_West/Druminshin_Glebe/658355/

And is this her in 1901

Born Cavan.

I don't see a marriage to Patrick, if this is the correct family could they have married in England as Kate was born there.

A marriage cert would at least give father's name and occupation

Yes that is the family I have listed, Sarah Murray is my great grandmother, good point about the marriage possibly in England I hadn't noticed that.

Pending confirmation of what the marriage record says, I wondered about this man (Arthur Timmons) who died in 1906 - note the informant:

An Arthur Timmins and Elizabeth McCaffrey had a daughter Sarah in 1870:

In 1901:

Noticing the date of the marriage is 1898 and by then they had at least two kids by then and the 2nd one was born in Ireland

Interesting thanks for that, its looking more likely that what I had found before was wrong.

Marriage of Arthur Timmins and Elizabeth McCaffrey, Arthur's age is inconsistent, but I think it's the same person:
