George Arthur WILLIAMS

George Arthur WILLIAMS married Selina Edith ROLLASON 1907, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire UK
Marriage locator can't find it, so I am presuming registry office, and I will order the certificate, once I know for sure it is the right couple. (Waiting on a marriage cert of someone who I think is their child)

Anyway, in 1911 George Arthur Williams says he was born in Christchurch NZ.
He is still alive in 1939 and says his birthday is 10 Sept 1879.   I cannot see that birth.

Children's names I can confirm are Irene Ambrosine 1909 (There is a family having children in the right period where the father is Ambrose, but I can't see a likely birth for George)
And Eric G. 1920.

suspected others are Milicent Edith (1913) and James Ernest (1914).

I have tried just Williams and William. I've looked at that day and month in different years. Can anyone else think of something?

Also, when did he go to England? and how?

The first one was registered Timaru, and I got terribly excited by that.
But following the family in the newspapers - they moved up to Gisborne area and he died a single man at Cook Hospital in 1936  :(

But that could be a typo on the teacher/headmaster?

I did think of his two names being swapped around :D

Which school records?  the Timaru one?

the second Arthur George reg I am fairly confident was born and died Napier.
