btw: Just done a Google street view tour around the green in Leverstock Green. I could see the church and the open space in front of it. Also The Old Leather Bottle - but no BP filling station. In fact BP's own directory only list two anywhere near: Breakspear Way and Adeyfield in Hemel Hempstead

Yes, I've seen that photo but unfortunately it still doesn't answer my original question: where exactly was the Three Horse Shoes / Garage / BP Filling Station in Leverstock Green?
