Good heavens - you kind people must think me the most ungrateful person ever! I haven't been back here since I last posted (June of last year), and coming in today I find all kinds of information! Yes, the Archibald you found is my great-uncle. He apparently lied about his age when he went to the U.S., as in fact he was two years older than my grandfather. It is awfully sad to think that he ended up in Portland, just 312 miles from where Grandpa and most of our family lived.
I wonder if any of his descendants are still in the area. My two brothers both still live in Vancouver and I’m sure they would love to contact any relatives.
The marriage certificate is my parents, and the obituary for my mother Marie is the one I wrote for her.
