Ancestry and facebook
« on: Monday 15 June 20 20:15 BST (UK) »
Why is it when I  sometimes do a search on Ancestry  I get a message saying "sending request to Facebook . com "
It often takes ages and sometimes I get "page not available "
 Thanks

It sounds as though you may have inadvertently linked your Ancestry account and your facebook account. The profile info here might help:

Thanks, but I`ve checked that out and can`t see anything about FB, unless I`m looking in the wrong place. This is all I have.  ???

Have you tried this?

"You can disconnect your Ancestry account from Facebook at any time. To do this, go to Site Preferences and click “Disconnect from Facebook” in the right column under “Facebook Connect.”

Just found a setting on Facebook about sites I have logged in with Facebook,  have deactivated it, so lets hope that's it.

Thanks
