Burial Look-Up Request, Please - St Mary Le Ghyll, Barnoldswick

I am hoping to find some ancestors:

Benjamin Mellor born 1869 died ? Barnoldswick?
Mary Alice Hargreaves (common law wife of Benjamin) born 1867 died 1930 Barnoldswick

May Hargreaves born 1896 died 1896 Barnoldswick dau of Mary Alice

Nora Cook formerly Horsfield nee Hargreaves born 1904 died 1962


Any burial information would be very much appreciated.

There’s a municipal cemetery opened 1889 next door to the church. The cemetery called Ghyll cemetery comes under Pendle Council. They may do a look up for you.

Lancashire Archives hold the parish registers. I think their burial register is only up to 1919 ( I am looking at a an old list of parish registers, the Archives site is misbehaving for me today!)

Have you checked out the death registered in 1936 in Darwen Blackburn

I wouldn't dismiss this one completely. I depends if the person who reported the death knew his correct age.
