Pigney (Gillingham, Burgh St Peter, Wheatacre)
« on: Thursday 18 June 20 10:35 BST (UK) »
I am trying to establish any verified connection between James Pigney c1726-1812 (died Gillingham, Norfolk) and and Abraham Pigney of Norwich (Huguenot descent).  A number of trees I have seen have Abraham as James father but all appear to be copied from one another with no evidence of an original verifying source for the connection.

Can anyone help?

Abraham Pigney married Elizabeth Miller 23 October 1728 at the Cathedral, they did have a son James but he was buried 28 November 1735.
Listed in the register of St Andrew's Norwich, buried at the French Church.

Seems they found a baptism and forgot to look up burials.

Thank you both for your help with this. I'm always happy to make use of somebody else's tree research but naturally cautious when they don't appear to have any corroborating evidence to support things.

Looks like I was right to be wary here. The hunt for James's parents must continue.
