Yes Louisa the mother's maiden name is on the birth registrations not the death ones, that is the site I have been searching. I have also used the different spelling of Davis, also searched the Free BMD site

You are absolutely correct, I do apologise - I was looking at the version on FindMyPast which is obviously not as complete as I thought it was because the MMN was not shown.

The only other thing I can suggest is, if they stayed in the same area have you looked at church burials

Amelia married John Tucker in 1891,  William John was staying with his grandparents William and Laura
