LYNCH John
« on: Thursday 18 June 20 15:06 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the offspring and grandchildren of a Henrietta Lynch the daughter of John Lynch and Janet Hamilton, who were married in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire in 1860
Henrietta birth was registered in 1862 in Carluke. she married Hugh Black in 1887 and I think they has at least 5 children including a Janet Hamilton Black, 1897 and Elizabeth Thomson Black 1895.

Hugh has a son, and was a widower when this marriage took place and I think Hugh is one of several brothers to my Great Grand father, William Black, 1845 - 1905.

any information much appreciated
regards

You would need to use the Scotlands People website.

No other site has the range of records needed.

Look on SP for marriages/deaths for their children

Janet married 1924 to John Dewar & died 1985 aged 88

Could I suggest you change your subject header as it is misleading.  You are looking for descendants of Hugh Black & Henrietta Lynch

Possibility son Hugh died 1952 & son Henry in 1942 - both Midlothian.  Too many William Black's with similar birth years

(Henrietta Lynch) married Hugh Black in 1887 .... Hugh has a son, and was a widower when this marriage took place and I think Hugh is one of several brothers to my Great Grand father, William Black, 1845 - 1905.
If you want to know who Hugh's parents were, get a copy of the marriage certificate from Scotland's People. It will tell you who his parents were. Then compare them with William's to see if they match. No point in tracing Lynch descendants if Hugh is not your relative :)
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hugh may have married an Emily Waterston in 1915, St Giles.

Emily died age 49 in 1939, St Andrews.

If it is any help, I looked at 1891 census & Hugh senior was born in Glasgow.
