What is your connection to him?  I noticed that Vera was 33 when they married and presume he was of similar age.  Was he previously married perhaps?

Thanks for the replies.....I can find three, maybe four John Jay's that married a Vera, but none of them fit exactly with this John (Jack) Jay.....as has been stated, perhaps the marriage certificate is the only way to find him....

remember the name on death register is the name the informant gave

I think Jack Jay whose death I posted was possibly Jack Jacobovitch - he changed his surname to Jay

this is his probate
