No sign of Michael or Christopher or the twin Teresa.

Hi again Sinnan....I know partrick Weldridge and jane Ward...were Nicholas's parents...His name was supposed to be Michael...but Bridy had a change of mind going to the church....I'll take out of this what helps me...it's so much to study...It's marvellous though...it's great...

Thanks for all this. I'll let you no more on it.

Which Bridget?
Nicholas was to be called Michael by his parents Patrick and Jane.
Who was the Bridy that changed that?
Michael's birth cert says he was born 15or 20 February and wasn't registered until 11 March so when was his name changed?

Hi Sinann it was among the stuff i have wisplced when i was downsizing the house.

All of my stuff was from The Church of Latterday Saints, although i don't like the modern way they do it...It was they that had Teresa...i kept marking her name as wrong until my cousin who i met in 1906 pointed out she was a twin of his father Terence.
I've been looking this morning again for my Weldridge folder, but with no luck so far..i'll keep on trying through the day.

many thanks again.

I wouldn't trust any thing from there, you need to check all the original sources.
There is no twin registered with Terence, no reason to believe Micheal's name was changed to Nicholas.
They are known to happily lump records together to make them fit.

Hi Sinann...i never knew that...but i have seen a church  list my sister had...but can't remember the church by baldoyle she viewed the old register...but it's to long ago now...and she's having a big operation on Thursday, but i will ask her when it's over...

I know Patrick Weldridge and Jane Ward were Nicholas's parents.....Jane i believe was from County Wicklow....but the only other names i remember attached to them were Elizabeth, Julia , also a Michael...who goes nowhere and the Nicholas...The rest i can't remember..although there may be others.
The problem with the Weldridges is they all use similar names and it can confuse.

I'll keep looking for my file.  Many thanks.

Hi Tony,

There is no twin registered with Terence..........

Sinann is quite correct.....no twin has been registered.
If it had, it would be immediately above or below his birth registration. See the attached image.
