A 5 yr old Christopher - orphan in 1925

Perhaps Christopher was not the son of Denis and Delia Curry Doyle

Thanks Heywood,

I found him also in an institution on the New York census 1925, see link below:

age 5 listed as an Orphan and residing at The Sorrowful Mother Orphan Home, 27 Harrison Place, Brooklyn - it states that Christopher was first admitted to the Orphanage on November 08, 1923.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K91Z-S58

From those dates I can assume that Denis Doyle must have died in New York sometime between the 1920 census and October 1923. I have not found a record of his death yet.

Yes I believe he was the son of Denis & Delia Curry.

I found a death record for Christopher in Hicksville in June 1992, it states he was born in May 1920, so Delia must have been pregnant at the time of the 1920 census - presuming the census date was prior to May 1920.

So, if all these things fit together, perhaps Delia could not care for him for some reason.
He would be 27yrs old when she died. :-\
