Try as I may, I have not been able to find out what happened to Rhoda after the 1871 census when she was living at home. Charles seems to have vanished after the 1881 census.  No marriage or death for either of them. I thought they might have emigrated but have drawn a blank there to.
I'll keep trying.

Have you discounted the marriage for Rhoda in 1877, then?

I can't find anyone called Rhoda b Chumleigh c1857 so wonder if it is a mistake. The family are difficult to find thereafter - apart from the son b 1881 who reappears in 1901. There is a strong possibility they went to India

Just not convinced this is the marriage. Chumleigh is in a completely different area to Luppitt . The family all came from the Honiton area . As you say there is no Rhoda Long b. for Chumleigh.
I will keep trying
Many thanks
