Packham marriage and burial - Fletching area
« on: Sunday 28 June 20 01:30 BST (UK) »
I hope someone here might be able to help.

My ancestor James Martin married a widow named Ann Packham at Fletching on 15 June 1690. They had one daughter named Elizabeth christened on 24 May 1691.

So far I have been unable to find Ann's first marriage in order to establish what her maiden name was. In an earlier post by myself there is a discussion that this might be Ann Durrant who married Robert Peckham in 1667 however this now seems unlikely given that if she was in her 20s then she'd be in her 50s when Elizabeth was born.

Is there any sigh of a Packham marriage to a woman named Ann or Anne in the Fletching area between about 1670 and 1690 followed by a burial for the husband?

Also can anyone suggest any other ways I can identify who my Ann was?

Many Thanks
Matt
