Issett baptism 1786 in Tugby
« on: Sunday 28 June 20 17:01 BST (UK) »
Hi
I have found on FindMyPast a Mary Issett baptised 8/10/1786 in Tugby Leicestershire, daughter of William and Sarah. If anyone has access to Tugby registers would they look to see if any more children were baptised there or William married there please?

Can't see any further children baptised there but there were 2 earlier children born to a William and Mary:

Mary Issit bp.7/10/1781 Tugby, dau. William and Mary
William Issit bp.21/9/1783   ditto   son      ditto

Hi
Yes, I saw those too on FindMyPast, did wonder if there was a connection.
Were you looking on the internet or do you have originals?
From the sparseness on the internet I think only originals will provide the answer!

The records for Tugby on Find My Past are actual copies of the original pages which you can view.

Agreed that FindMyPast do have images, but as I suspect their transcripts to be partial, I am not sure that their images are complete either - not compared to a film of the registers as at record offices.

I shall have to have a longer look and see how complete they are.

Well they are certainly complete from 1781 to 1812 which is the period I've looked at.
