York Castle Military Prison
« on: Monday 29 June 20 13:06 BST (UK) »
I have found a possible relative on the 1901 census, John Barker born 1882, who is shown as from the Northumberland Fusiliers and in the above prison. I have been unable to trace a military record for him on Ancestry or Findmypast. Are there any other records for the prison inmates available?

Could be John William Barker 6632 - he was in a military prison at that time

Thanks Shaun, I’m sure that’s him. Seems to be a bit of a naughty boy!
