Catherine Stunnell circa 1755-1760
« on: Tuesday 30 June 20 09:06 BST (UK) »
Catherine Stunnell married Samuel Goodman 25 Oct 1786 at St Mary, Newington Southwark Surrey (now in London). London Metropolitan Archives; London, England; Reference Number: p92/mry/017.
I am uncertain as to where she was born and to date I have not been able to find the name of her father.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely baptism that I can see is for Catherine Stonnell, d/o Richard & Isabella, 20 Jan 1764. Various sibling baptised as Stunnell.

Richard Stunnell married Isabella Harris of Hampton Msx, 29 Nov 1753, Mayfair Chapel.

Samuel Goodman an innkeeper and wife Catherine Stunnell, as per baptisms of the following children at St John the Baptist Eltham, Greenwich....
1788 Mary
1790 Samuel
1792 John d.1793
1794 James
1796 Catherine Jane d.1796

He is also possibly the Samuel Goodman, initiated age 30, victualler, who was made a mason in 1794 at the Freemason Lodge Fraternal Membership Greenwich, and the Samuel Goodman of St Anne’s Lane London, victualler, who was declared bankrupt in 1798.

It looks like they then moved to Hemlock Court St Clements Dane, the following children were baptised at St Dunstans to Samuel & Catherine Goodman...
1797 Catherine (buried 16 Dec 1798, aged 13 mths, at St John’s Eltham)
1799 Thomas
1802 Charles
1805 Isabella

A burial 30 Mar 1808 for a Samuel Goodman, at St John the Baptist Greenwich, age 44, from St Clements Dane.

Westminster Poor Law Records 1815 (looks like rates book)
Catherine Goodman, Hemlock Court, noted as dead.

A will for Richard Stu/onnell would be helpful  ???
