This week  I have received the marriage Cert for Thomas Wood and Bertha Olive Wood in 1943 in Camden Town..It was ordered on the 6th July.
They were living at the same address. The father's names tie up with the previous posting, Harold & John Benjamin. No sign of the name 'Nounce'.
Now to see if there were any children after this marriage. BMD shows births of Woods in Hackney & Islington with mother's name of 'Wood'. What is the best way to find the father's name other than ordering certficates? many Thanks David

If you find any children I would suggest you look for baptisms as the parents names should appear.  Although as is it the 1940s not sure if you would find any.

Birth announcements in the paper may also be a possibility.

Where did the name 'Nouch' come from?

I am doing this as a project for an elderly friend. He was given this name by members of his family.
There was some mystery over this union & if there were any children as they both married other people later. Thanks everyone for their help! David

Bertha Olive Exell was my grandmother, married to Edwin Exell. We've never heard the name Nouch

I've just spoken to my mum, Nan did marry a Thomas Wood who had a brother called Harry.  Not long after he went away to sea and met someone else and they got divorced.  She then met my grandad and got married and had my mum.

I know it's an old post but hopefully this is helpful.
