Pte. Arthur Mason & Ethel F. Ainsworth

I am currently researching Pte. Arthur Mason (1912 - 1943) from Ryhope, Sunderland who served with the Pioneer Corps. (13049980) and died 17th September 1943 at Wigan and buried Ryhope Cemetery, Sunderland. Found a report of accident in the Manchester Evening News (18th September 1943) that he was fatally injured when a 40 gallon oil drum burst and that he was married with one child. It is information concerning his wife & child I am looking for. The only marriage found which appears to fit the time frame is a marriage Arthur Mason & Ethel F. Ainsworth June Q 1942 Preston.
Also found a birth for one child 1942 Amounderness.
Is there anyone researching these names who can confirm I have the correct details?
