Hi further to my post of Margaret Mary Cronin just a query if anyone can answer her birth date according to the register is 23rd December 1897 but on the electoral roll for Liverpool where she was in 1939 she has her birthdate as 23rd December 1899 and on the census 1901 she is 2 which makes it also 1899 could it be that the 1st Margaret Mary died and a second daughter was named the same?
Her brother Michael Francis has his birthdate in 1939 as October 1899 but as I don’t have his original birth record I don’t know if this is correct or not any help would be very gratefully received so I can finally put this all to bed.

I am just rereading this.

Do you have the marriage certificate of Margaret Mary re father’s name and occupation? Was he deceased? What about the witnesses? Do their names provide any clues.
Similarly with her brother.

Neither birth date works out as 2yrs on the 1901 Census.
The 1901 Census was taken on March 31 1901, so if born in Dec to be recorded as 2 in March 1901 she would be born Dec 1898.
Dec 1898 born
Dec 1899 1 yr
Dec 1900 2 yr
March 1901 2 yr and 3 months.

No neither birth date works out but her birth registration is definitely 23rd December 1897 at Limerick the parents are correct and 3 Barrington Street is the right address Her brother Joseph Ignatius is on the register as being  born July 12th 1895 And he is 5 on the 1901 Census which would be right Michael Francis put his birth date down as being born 29th of October 1899 in (on the 1936 Liverpool electoral roll) I haven’t got his birth registration but he is 1 year old on the 1901 census and that would be right so it’s just Margaret Mary that’s puzzling me.

How is her father described on the marriage certificate?

Do you have further details re Joseph or Michael's marriage?

Is all the information you have re the correct birthdate/address/parents from Irish records or family knowledge?

I only ask to make sure she is the correct Margaret.

Added
As I wrote earlier there are published trees both for Michael and Margaret with parents Cornelius and Elizabeth.
There are no birth records for them.
There are marriages mentioned but no details.
Brother Joseph is mentioned and a death in WW1 for him but that is the wrong Joseph.
There is another sibling Ada but no details at all.

She would only have turned 3 in Dec  born 1897 so it's not far fetched that her father put down 2 rather than 3, that she later got her own birth year incorrect is fairly common.
If of course as heywood says you have the correct parents/family. Have you got her marriage cert?

I don’t have Margaret Mary Cronin marriage certificate she was married in April 1919 to William Winterbottom in West Derby. Joseph Ignatius died in action France Dec. 21st 1914 Michael Francis married Elsie Grant I think 1933/34 West Derby. It seems the family moved from Ireland sometime between 1901 and 1919 I haven’t been able to find out anything further on Cornelius or Elizabeth (nee Tarpey) Cronin. I know from family still living that she was born at Barrington Street but no further info was forth coming Except that she went into convent but this may just be a convent school. It says on Cornelius and Elizabeth’s marriage entry that her father was Michael and his father was Cornelius and both were alive when they married in 1894. Michael Tarpey died 1904 but I have no info on the father of Cornelius. The info I have is mostly from Irish records. I haven’t seen a family tree for them certainly Margaret Marys grandson knows nothing about one which is the reason I’m doing this.
