I have the transcription of the Christening Record for the husband of my Great Great Aunt from both ancestry and familysearch.
Am wondering if there might be a way to obtain the PR of the Christening...?
Also, would like to see a record for date of birth.

Was he still alive in 1939 as the register would give a probable date of birth.

Originally day was written as 4, struck through.

Many thanks for that information.
I had the correct Sussex Baptisms up on familysearch but couldn't work out how to search through the pages to get to the one you have led me to....
Still don't know how to do it but have accessed the link and now have the image, thank you.

He was still living but he was in Australia :-)
He died 1941 in NSW.
An amazing family, every UK Census through from 1841 to 1911 when the parents James and Harriet were still living.
They both died in 1912.  Great genes in that line :-)

Thanks again jonw65 for your help, including the school record for Herbert Parker which showed us his d.o.b.
It is much appreciated and helps fill out the picture of someone in my family tree.
Herbert emigrated to Australia in 1866. He and his wife and daughter visited UK in 1925 and it appears their address while in England was 53 Edward Street, Brighton - the same address shown on the school record.
