I can’t imagine how difficult it must be either seeing someone you care for going through the long recovery from COVID ... or indeed from suffering from it yourself... I hope like everyone else has said that you will all start to feel better soon and that the effects don’t keep recurring.

Take care, keep safe and my thoughts are with you all.

Did you have a Covid test which was positive Mark?
Do you need to self isolate?
Are you “infectious” and able to pass it on to others you come into contact with?
What are the recommendations for your recovery?
Best of luck for a full recovery.  :)

Hi

Thanks.

I need to continue with all the usual measures (like everyone else) to avoid a risk of reinfection.

I have suffered rash, welt imflammations, itching and stinging for many months, after an awful dry cough in January. I've had big fluctuations in blood pressure readings and other new health problems and other unusual reactions.

The only relief now from the itching pain is to take my socks and trousers off and pour cups of cold tap water over over the bath and put my arms and wrists under a running cold water tap to stop me scratching my skin away.

The body is drawing fluids there as though it thinks it is a burn leaving me very thirsty. After a while the spots and rash breaks, shed fluid and almost disappears. Then a few days or a week or so later, the rash, spots and/or inflammation reappears.

Fortunately, I wasn't a highly medicated person, but steroid cream is becoming less effective. Cups of cold water or running arms under the tap, is the best pain control.

I'm going back to my GP.

Despite this, I'm thankful to be alive!

Mark

No, the window for some to test positive is short and I have been suffering for months.

I have tried to get a test and been refused because I've had suspected Covid complications before testing started.

I can prove from receipts when I firsted started buying over the counter skin rash remedies and from reports and photographs emailed to my GP.

I can't understand the testing ethics??

Presumably you may have unknowingly infected others back in the early days before the social distancing, hand washing and other recommendations were introduced. :-\

Ruskie, but then so did at least a thousand other people who returned to Britain from abroad + their contacts. 2 of my former colleagues + 2 others at their public-facing workplace suspect they had it in January. One was admitted to hospital.
Best wishes, Mark.

Yes of course there must have been many in a similar position MS. No one was to know in those early days.
