Do you have any proof she survived infancy?  If so - have you looked for a marriage for her on SP?

Presuming she married you can then check to see if she was still alive in 1841 & if not - can use SP to check for a death

FreeCEN has Gourly as well. So does FindMyPast. She is listed as age 60, pauper, born Dumfries-shire.

It would therefore be worth finding out if the Poor Law records for Kirkpatrick Fleming have survived. If they have, there should be information about this Elizabeth Gourly.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I think the surname has been mistranscribed and should be Tedcastle.  Andrew Tedcastle b 1834 is in Kirkpatrick Fleming in 1851.  SP have his birth as Tidcastle

Is this another classic Ancestry mistranscription? SP and FindMyPast both have it as Tedcastle.
