Aghadowey -I will of course try St Guaires but since the family was probably Presbyterian (1901 census)the likelihood is that there is no burial record in existence. Do you know what newspapers circulated in the Garvagh area at that time? Do you happen to have access to any of the local newspaper archives - death notice, obituary, memorial notices etc?. I can usually call on Central Library for help but they are out of action due to coronavirus. Appreciate your help.

Not all Presbyterian burials are in St. Guaire's burial register although by the time of William's death it's possible the register is complete.
Lots of local newspapers- Coleraine Chronicle, Northern Constitution, Ballymoney Free Press, Northern Whig, Belfast Newsletter, Londonderry Sentinel are all possibilities. Remember to check not just for a death notice but also In Memorium notices.
I've been through the Chronicle and Constitution from 1914 onwards researching local soldiers killed in WWI and may have come across something about William but my files have been out on long-term loan for a few years.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
