Seeking the Robinson in 1851 in Cotherstone

I have reached a dead-end in locating my 2x Great grandmother (Jane Ann Robinson) in the 1851 (and 1841) census.

I have her married to my 2x great grandfather (Robert McDonald (sometimes recorded as Robert Donald) in the 1861 census (1861 census of England, Yorkshire (North Riding), Bowes Village, folio 18, page 31). This census says she was born in Cotherstone in 1828. She had a daughter (Sarah Jane Robinson) in 1849. Sarah Jane was definitely born illegitimately in Cotherstone (Birth Certificate). I know from the Parish records that Jane Ann was born in 1824 (illegitimately) in Cotherstone so I suspect that they didn't move away very far.

I do know that they appear to have lived in Egglestone Abby which I believe comes under North Riding of Yorkshire)

I searched FreeCen and Ancestry to no avail.

Any suggestions as to anywhere else I can do lookups?

You haven’t said where & when they married - is it the Dec qtr 1857 Teesdale marriage (per FreeBMD)?

That is indeed when and where they got married (Marriage certificate proof).

I have her tracked from then on (and Sarah), but their whereabouts prior to getting married are a mystery. I know Jane's mother's name was Joanna Robinson but haven't tried tracing her yet.

I know Cotherstone pretty well and I would be surprised if they left the area, but Barningham is a possibility. (Family ties to that town too)
