Hi all,

I would like to know from which  time in the 20th century this uniform is and if it's Army or Air Force.

Thank you for your time.

Not seeing an MIC for anyone of that name in the RF.
This man is serving overseas so there should be one.

shaunJ thank you

Jim1 what is MIC ? And why do you think he served overseas ?
I'm not sure about his name. On the other photo I posted is written on the back with love from Dug & Den.
The one on the right is definately Albert Dennis Wilson.
Looking at the family tree there's only one Douglas. Agewise the same age as Dennis Wilson.
Dennis born 1899 and Douglas born 1900.

Looks like the same uniform to me on the other photo. But I'm no expert.

MIC=Medal Index Card.
Anyone serving in a theatre of war 1914-18 received campaign medals
& these are indexed.
He served overseas because his cap is minus the stiffener.
Men at the Front were allowed to remove them to make them easier
to stow away when donning helmets or gas masks.
Also he has a Battalion ID patch on his epaulette.
These were to make men more identifiable particularly when in battle.
Added:
The other photo is Royal Navy & R. Fusiliers.
The trade badge is (I believe) for a Lewis Gunner.

thank you, although he seems very young to have served overseas at age 17 or 18 (if he's Douglas James Houghten)

Hi Jim1

All I know about Albert Dennis Wilson (the guy on the left in the other photo I posted):
Attestation Year 1918
Cabinet Maker (Apprentice)
Service Number 247064

Know nothing about the guy on this photo. might be a relative of Albert, but beginning to doubt now. Could be a good friend. In that case it's probably impossible to find out who he is.....
